Uber is denied its London travel license.

Transport for London has denied Uber its renewed licence for the firms London operations after it conluded that Uber (Uber London Limited) "is not fit and proper to hold a private hire operator licence".

The reasons for Transport for London's decision includes;

 "Its approach to reporting serious criminal offences",
 "Its approach to how medical certificates are obtained",
"Its approach to how Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are obtained"
 "Its approach to explaining the use of Greyball in London, software that could be used to block regulatory bodies from gaining full access to the app and prevent officials from undertaking regulatory or law enforcement duties"

Uber's licence is now expected to expire on the 30th of September unless they appeal the process. This would give Uber an additional 21 days to continue their London biased opperations and appeal the decision to confirm renewal of their licence.

Considering Transport for London has found Uber to be unsafe and has made them unreliable, you can get your Brand New Lease Car from Any Car 4U. Some cars such as the Nissan Leaf are even exempt from congestion charging, making them perfect for driving in Central London. We see lease cars as being the perfect alternative to Uber as you don't have to own a depreciating asset that costs you money and you have a greater freedom to travel where taxi firms and public transport will not reach.

The California-based company, that was founded just over eight years ago, has been under intense fire from a growing army of critics in the UK, who claim that it is unfairly skewing competition and that it has not done enough to crack down on incidents of violence involving its drivers.
