People are walking away from Diesel

Diesel car sales have dropped by 25% in January 2018. With confusion sourrounding the goverments stance and future policy buyers have been hesitant.

In Novemeber 2017 the goverment stated any buyer of a new diesel car would be liable for a one off tax increase come April 2018 unless the vehicles met a new higher standard on emmisions.

Sales of 'Alternative Fuel' cars have increased by nearly 255 but this still only remains a market share of 5.5% in the UK.

At The Lease Lounge we have seen a real increase for the number of enquiries for Greener and more eco friendly lease cars but we still believe there is a long way to go before we can tempt the average Joe into the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe's of the world.
